Has anyone tried them? David Hill Abacus Nurseries I have never tried to eat them but my old horse used to love sorrel, he would eat right down to the roots. It is said to be poisonous to horses but it never did him any harm kate |

It's the same toxin as in rhubarb leaves. I wouldn't worry, as the amount you have to eat to poison yourself is excessive. It isn't something that you should eat in large quantities every day for a month, though. Regards, Nick Maclaren. |
