She lives locally and has 'borrowed' some of our plants. Her latest London
exhibition has our Ipomoea indica in it but aside from that, her pictures
are stunning and they're huge. Anyone with a love of botanical art and a
few pounds to spare (!) couldn't do better than get one of these! The ones
of the iris and tulips make me greedy!

Apologies, I meant to include this:

It's the full range of the current exhibition.

I wish I could do that. I was the utter despair of my art teachers. How
she conveys the light coming through the petals of the iris is just sublime.
I'd give my my eye teeth to be able to do it one half as well. We were sent
the catalogue of this latest exhibition and it's even more gripping than the
pics online. The originals must be breathtaking. I knew someone who had
originals of Gould's British Birds and this brings that sort of work to
mind. It isn't just meticulously faithful in detail, which a photo could
produce, it's as if it was alive and bursting with life and juice to get off
the paper.
