You remember - good old horsepower !

Er, well, no, I'm not *quite* that old - unless you count my Thelwell
days!

Converging jodhpurs threads?

Definitely. I even met Pat Smythe when she did a book signing in Torquay.
;-)

Oooo! Pat Smythe - you are almost as old as I am. :o)

I met Alain Bombard (who?), when he did a book signing in Reading around
1955.

Er?

Wiki is wrong, his book was published in 1953

Did he strike you as quite normal, sane, balanced??

We spend more than £15k per year on potting compost for 3,000 varieties of
plants multiplied by x per plant, so no, we don't make our own! I just wish
that were possible.
We do, however, have 2 large compost heaps and one ginormous one which are
used on the garden over time. The enormous compost heap has recently
produced some interesting squashes!

Last year, People round here brought it to us and it went out almost as soon
as it came in.
