It's horrible!

It has been the most *awful* day here - howling gale and lashing rain all
day since about 11am. It's still going on now. We seem to get at least one
of these as soon as the poor old rooks are completing their nests, sometimes
after they've got chicks, too and heaven only knows what goes through their
minds as they get hurled about the tree tops. Amazingly, we had some hardy
customers in today - they really must be the dedicated gardening types! I
hope others have had a rather more pleasant day and that his blows off, out
to sea pdq!

Been sort of sunny here. Did have a few drops of rain, but it was biting
cold

'Here' being the South East coast of the Isle of Wight

Kindest possible regards

Sorry Sacha but looking at Meteox it doesn't seem that your wish
will be granted - well not for a few hours anyway.

Wet and windy here in Bristol now. :-(((

Went out for a paper and a bag of spuds earlier, and the wind was light,
the sky was grey and patchy, with not quite enough blue to molish a pair
of sailor's pants.

Got showered on while returning.

It's been dry ever since, but the wind has risen a lot.

I ferar it's going to be persisting down tonight...

Here on the East Coast it has been a lovely day, as usual. Not a lot
of sunshine but I have been out in the garden planting raspberry canes
and unearthing some delphinium plants that got missed last year - they
are just beginning to shoot - now where shall I put them....? Oh yes
and in the windless day yesterday I burned the old growth on the
pampas plumes.

Its reached Normandy now, a gale is building up with rain. I don't want
it, so I'm asking it to go back to England.

Begone storm to whence you came!

I'm a bit further south, and possibly a bit further east then you Rusty.
That shower hit me while I was putting the windows in to our new allotment
shed!

It's been dry ever since, but the wind has risen a lot.

It certainly is here! The cat who thinks she's a cut above the rest
[Grandma was a Siamese donchtaknow] has been complaining about the rain and
it's blowing enough to rattle the cat flap.

Not so good late in the day but this morning I finished digging the
allotment, looks lovely, like a soft brown pillow. Now goodness knows what
all this rain will do, probably undo all my hard work and cap the silt/clay
soil again.

You haven't had snow yet.The did up north west during the night.

Even at its worst we had very little snow here while a 20 minute drive away
was where people were put up overnight in Exeter racecourse buildings when
they became stranded. If we get seriously bad snow in this precise area,
we'll be very, very surprised.
