Lots of hard work and hours of 'fun' - thank you for taking on the task of restoring a valuable resource. To all urglers, I would like to say that Cormaic told me he would be extremely happy to have someone else take this over. I asked one or a few people who might have been able to do it and David stepped up and offered his time, expertise and skills. Another urgler also offered help and may wish for now to remain nameless but it seems to me that urg is extremely lucky - as are other gardeners who read this group - to see the FAQs back in action. Nevertheless there was much useful information that was worth salvaging. There are lots of dead links. I have renewed some where I could find an updated link. But maybe people would like to renew some of the FAQs completely. After all, it was always something which the membership of this group contributed to and was a way of making their experience more permanent while avoiding unnecessary repetition of the same questions time after time. Maybe time to delete stuff about get togethers that were held a decade ago? The part about organic gardening should mention that the EU standards were drawn up by commercial organic gardeners so it's not surprising HDRA complies with them. Don't know about deleting the meets - personally, I think they're fun to look back on. But that's not really the focal point of what David has done which is bringing the FAQs back to availability. But perhaps they didn't know about the FAQs and had never read the abc. And it would be a simple thing to give them a URL in reply - it would make it simpler and us seem more friendly. And it's even easier to remember now that Cormaic has registered the urg domain. For instance: http://www.u-r-g.co.uk/urgfaqs.htm is easy enough to type in. We need to remember that, just as many readers here are novices to gardening, so they may be to computers and the Internet. And if they're not we should give them the benefit of the doubt.
