Can anyone tell me -can I grow SnakesHead Fritillary in pots?? I live in Cumbria, so fair amount of rain,-- tried when we lived in a different area where the soil was very heavy clay. Of course, lost them. They fascinate me. Marg |

My grandmother used to grow them in her moist soil in NE Cheshire on the edge of the peak district, so I don't see why you can't grow them in the ground in Cumbria, provided the ground it is sufficiently water-retentive, and drains adequately in the summer. |
