Tamarix Parviflora
 
Just bought a Tamarix Parviflora, looks good, but its new to me, and have
since heard that its a pest in the USA, Any thoughts on the care and
placing of it?

I suggest you give it as a present to your neighbours, then you can
enjoy the look of it without having to care for it!

Tamarisk tolerate salt-laden air and drought. They're not so likely to
be happy with permanently wet soil. They're deep rooted plants, which
might be a contraindication for growing them in a pot.

They also like full sun.

If your climate is like that in the southers states of the US of A
then worry, but if you have normal UK weather then wory more about
keeping it going.
Nice plants though they can get straggly, but take cutting back well
when established

thanks for all reply's, For those that do not know the plant, its has long
black stems , feathery, and turns pink.
I bought it as a 'poor mans' black bamboo. :-)
