You sound like Ray. When the sky is black and threatening he says
"That looks very omnibus". ;-) As indeed it does tonight. It's now
pitch black but just before the light went totally, the view was
monochrome with only the faintest hint of green still in the fields.
It was a most unusual sight and I wish I could have photographed it but
I doubt it would have registered. It was just like looking at an old
black and white photo that had been very slightly tinted.

The weather here is a bit bi-polar!!!! One minute the sky is black,
depressing and then the next all light and sunny! I can't keep up
with the changes today :-) Furthermore there is a lot of blustering
going on, it seems that nature is having a hissy fit.

We had a three hour thunderstorm and torrential rain this evening.

I can't believe that a week ago it was 18C and that we were putting our boat
into hibernation for the winter in the sunshine.

Please don't tell me this is coming our way! We had Judith's weather
today - light, dark, rain, sun - enough to make one giddy!

We are closing up the pool for the Winter today, but there is a chance
I shall get blown in. I can't believe that I was swimming in there a
little while ago. Whilst driving from here to Rodez last week, the
temperature went from 12 degrees to 24, that is some fluctuation
considering Rodez is not that far away but it is at a much lower
altitude so obviously they have a more clement climate.

We have April showers here today, so something is certainly topsy

SWMBO had run in with the elements on Sunday, a large bough came
down from a tree in the storm, just as she was driving under it.
Resulting in a smashed windscreen, dented bonnet, roof, drivers
door and front wing as well as one door mirror wiped out
completely. She was very shaken but unharmed. Car is now with
local body shop and she is driving a little loan car.

Oh and this act of god occurred when she was on her way to a
church service!

Then God was with her Mike. You will know the Watton Road on the way
into Norwich from Marlingford? A colleague of my husband was kileed
there when a large bough of a tree crashed through the car and killed
him, so your SWMBO had her Angel on her shoulder and God was looking
on and nodding. I am relieved to hear despite the shock she is
unhurt.

going on, it seems that nature is having a hissy fit.

We had a *three hour thunderstorm and torrential rain this evening.

I can't believe that a week ago it was 18C and that we were putting our boat
into hibernation for the winter in the sunshine.

We are closing up the pool for the Winter today, but there is a chance
I shall get blown in. *

Oo-er!

I can't believe that I was swimming in there a
little while ago. *Whilst driving from here to Rodez last week, the
temperature went from 12 degrees to 24, that is some fluctuation
considering Rodez is not that far away but it is at a much lower
altitude so obviously they have a more clement climate.

Meanwhile it is still chucking it down and the thunderstorms continue.

Locally a church steeple was struck by lightening yesterday evening.. A
sign that
God is not happy with what is going on in Copenhagen or what goes on in the
church?
or just grumpy :-)

God is a grumpy old woman theorist? )

They hold jumble sales in the local churches. I always expect biblical divine
intervention.

LOL

My late mother got blank looks once when she visited a Dutch jumble sale by
remarking that they seemed to have got rid of the money changers.

Maybe it doesn't translate too well.....
