growing garlic
 

Hello, I'm growing some garlic from cloves, in a pot on a sunny window sill
and it seems to be doing fine. I have leaves about 8 " long.

How long will it take to grow fully & how do I tell when its ready ?

Needs a cool, even cold, spell to make a good head so hope it's not too
warm.
Ours is usually ready out on the allotment about June time, depends on the
season. It's ready when the leaves start to die back, don't leave it too
long or the head will open up ready for growing again.

Yep, window sill is not good. Put it outdoors. Mine on my allotment are
about 6"........open to all weather.
