Books
I am not sure if it is practice on here to recommend books, but here goes.
Many authors of gardening books write to a degree in a didactic style. Sometimes this is good and at other times tiresome. Rarely though does one find such a book that also comprises humour to go along with the gardening education. Just such a book that I have recently started to read is, Of Flowers and a Village by the late Wilfrid Blunt (1901-1987). Not only that but it is written as a novel in the style of chatty letters from a doting godfather to his goddaugghter. If you can manage to get a copy of this book (I think it may be out-of-print) I hope that you will find it as entertaining as I did. |
