October already?
 

After a night of torential rain and gale force winds it looks as if
our summer is already a distant memory.
Here in my part of South Wales (Swansea area) we have had 2.2 inches
of rain in ther last 3 days and I can't walk on parts of the field.
I'll have to take a walk round to look at possible dammage when this
present heavy "Shower" passes.

We haven't had as much rain - about 1.5" - but there are torn leaves
all over the grass. The gales was terrifically noisy and the wind is
still strong today.

Would you believe 100 micron here last night? :-(

15 miles east(ish) of Swansea and we've had just under an inch in a
week or more, most of it in the last 24 hours! Surprising what a
difference a small distance can make. Wind damage is another thing
though. I've got some staked plants that have snapped off just above
the highest tie to the stake and have just spent a fair bit of time
rebuilding my raspberry wigwams that had blown to a precarious 45
degree angle.

But I'm not moaning - a week ago I was doing rain dances and watering
for three hours every couple of days. At least I think I can have
tonight off!

So you're the person to blame....I wondered who was responsible.
We are 450 ft up a 1000ft (aprox) mountain and look down on the
mumbles, so the air geting forced up over the mountain drops extra
rain on us., and the river Neath also divides our weather so a mile in
any direction and the weather can be quite different
