Scale insects on Blackberry Plants

I have scale insects on a Blackberry, not quite sure what will kill them.
Help needed.

The fruit have all been picked. It looks as thought the scale insects have
made a home for the winter!!

Well if you've finished picking you can cut out all the old fruiting
growth as you will get next years crop on this years growth, co cut
out and burn old stems.
Then if you don't have to many scale on the new growth just squash
them

hello, maybe you can try spraying with a mixture of green olive oil
soap (or something equivalent) with some alcool
to prevent foam, it usually does the trick
