Whilst not wishing to cast ALL suppliers in a dim light I would welcome
recommendation s for suppliers who supply genuine varieties.

Thought I would have a go at some of the raspberries and strawberries
that have been recommended on here lately but suspicious of non
specialist sellers. :)

For a previous house/garden I used Scotts of Merriot, however, like
most really good suppliers I'm not sure if they have been undercut and
destroyed by rubbish suppliers. Rhododendron, Varieties Red, Pink and
White springs to mind.
There's always Hilliers of course, are they still going? Rivers nursery
maybe?
Good Luck
Don

I have used Ashridge trees in the past: http://www.ashridgetrees.co.uk/
in fact I have an order due delivery in November. I have always found
them helpful and their product excellent.

For soft fruit plants/bushes I've used Welsh Fruit Stocks before and had
no problems.

Sadly, they've gone.

This week I took delivery of my first order placed with Blackmoors......
www.blackmoor.co.uk
of 10 canes of bare-rooted Raspberry "Polka" an Autumn fruiting type.
I was most impressed with the packing and service and especially with the
quality of the canes roots.
The pack also contained a bakers dozen (13) instead of the 10 ordered !
Based on this first experience I can recommend them.
vsop.

We've used Victoriana in the past and have been happy with them, but I think
we've mostly used them for seeds rather than plants.

Trouble with them is they use Colt rootstock for their cherries which gives
a bigger tree than Gisela 5 which is what I want my two new cherries on. No
ladders needed ever.

Looks like I will have to buy one from Blackmoor Nursery, Liss, Hampshire
and one from Pomona in order to get exactly what I want.
