Goundreys compost

Apparently the firm that supplies Goundreys compost had closed. Does
anyone know where you might be able to get any supplies from or who
might be taking over?
A friend regularly gets a couple of hundred bags a year (yes she has a
very large garden!) and has managed to get some from Aylesbury
Horticultural association trading store but is desperate to find a
future supplier. She rates the compost very highly.

I don't know if this is the right track but Groundreys are actually
Monro Groundrey who appear to be part of the Monro Sport Group.
Searching on the latter leads to http://tinyurl.com/63tw7bx which may
be worth a look.

There is another company, Monro South, which appears to be in
administration but I don't know if there is any link between the two -
the Monro South portfolio does not appear to include any site in
Chipping Norton.

OTOH, Monro South includes the Growing Success brand which I'd be
sorry to see go.

Like a very good quality John Innes no 3 Very heavy in even small bags:)
I assume it has fertiliser in it, and Sarah rates it really highly for
growing plants and for mulching and putting in the hole when planting.
Even for sowing. She generally get a lorry load once a year but was told
that they were no longer doing it

Yes i saw that and assume that that's who supplies it but I assume that
she was buying it from a specific subsidiary company. Ay it is really
good and very consistent.

If this means JFC Monro, they're certainly still going. We get all our
compost, pots etc. from them but I don't know if it's the same set-up.
The people we deal with are in Hayle in Cornwall.

Sacha I think when it was all Fyffes Monro they may have been linked but
JFC Monro was a staff buy out when the original company went to the wall
