Hand trowel question, could be tricky!!

Hi guys,

I am new to this forum and really hope you might be able to help.

Some years ago (about 7ish) I had a catalogue of hand tools, trowels hand forks etc. and they were british made and had beautiful brass or copper ferrules and walnut handles or oak I think, they weren't the cheapest I have seen (about £60-£70ish) but they were lovely, I have spent quite a while searching online to try and find them, but all I can find are dutch or other foreign made nice trowels.

So the question is, does anyone remember the name of that company or know if they are still in existence or can someone recommend another firm that does a similar product, because I do remember that even on Gardeners World and the like they always had trowels with brass ferrules, also if you could point me in the direction of a website that would be great as I live outside of the British Isles.

Please don't send me links to Dutch or other foreign tool manafacturers, because I only want British made, preferably English made!

Many thanks in advance, I am sure you will come up trumps for me !!

Magoo.

Very pretty indeed. I know the Pyramids were built using copper tools,
but wouldn't they need to be very thick and heavy to be as rigid as
steel?

Could it be the Joseph Bentley range? I have admired these lovely
tools, but they don't perfectly answer your description.

Hi guys,

Many thanks for all of your very kind help.

However, I have finally found it (well my wife has!) I was trying to explain again yesterday to her what I was looking for and she went online and within 10 minutes has found it! She tends to be more ingenious with the search engines than me! It came down to searching for something in the UK as opposed to England which is what I always type!

Oh, and just in case you want to take a look just click below.

Thanks again for your great help.

Also not quite as expensive as I had remembered!
