I have a generater for occasional use on the allotment. It's been running
with the fuel it came with...needs a top up now. Problem...suddenly struck
me, is it 2 or 4 stroke.
It's a Honda Model EG2200. I've tried Google with no luck, so wondered if
anyone here could advise.

If it has a dipstick and a place to put oil in then it's a 4 stroke

I almost sure all Honda small engines are 4 stroke and as far as I know they
don't actually make a 2 stroke any more.
The one I had on a water pump was certainly 4 Stroke.
If you know your way around engines it's usually fairly easy to tell by
position of carburettor and exhaust and if there is a valve cover or not.
