My beautiful 4ft. high 9 years old Riccatonii has suffered during the
winter, I have waited and at last some of it is showing healthy growth but
other bits still look dead, my daughters tell me that I am impatient, are
they right I wonder ?

Must admit have finally decided, last week, any fuchsia plant not
showing life in my collection has now gone to visit Mr Composter!

Have friends who have been badly hit, collections build up over twenty
years have been wiped out. Others have lost over five hundred cutting/
plants. I have lost over two hundred.

But those that have survived will be appreciate more!

It's still early days and this hot weather has given us a false sense
of real summer. I'd hold on for quite a bit longer. Our F. Hawkeshead
and F. microphylla are *just* starting to break again.
