Smile Need advice total beginer to gardening

Hello

i decided to try out some gardening indoors for a new hobby as i was told gardening can become a great hobby and accompanys cooking very well another hobby i have and never grown anything before so i thought i wouldnt go out spend loads money to start so i called into the local 99p store as i had ben told i could get a herb starter kit there that as been tried and tested and was succesful by others in the past

so i followed the directions to sow the seeds in the 3 pots and the compost that came in the pack and planted all the seeds into each seperate pot as directed and was just wondering if could get some advice on a few things as follows:-

Basil Sweet Genovese:-
Sowed the seeds on the 10th april and used a propagtor that had picked up for £1.99 and waited about a week and checked in on the seeds and to my amazement they was growing now this is where im a bit confused as i have quite a few come up its acctually like a pot with green spiked hair quite a few are up some growing taller then others and majority developed 4 leaves with a aroma and what i was wondering was will these seedlings be needed to be seperated from the orginal pot to grow indivdually ?

Coriander & Parsley Curled:-
i have put these 2 together as its saves writing the same thing twice so this problem i have with both these seeds that have been sowed these was also sowed on the 10th april along with the Basil in the propgator and nothing as happened no seedlings coming up or anything so just wondered if this is normal for these herbs to take lot longer then the Basil or are these seeds just rejects so to speak and is there anything i could maybe possibly do to try and get them to grow like heard about germinating seeds so was wonderingwould digging the seeds and try germinating them help or have they just completely failed

Tomatoes Moneymaker:-
Also purchased some of the instant sow pots also from the 99p store and followed as directed here and loads have popped up on 1 and a few on the other and have been advised to get these transplanted into seperate pots so have got some pots thought id share the success with them

Multi Purpose Compost:-
would this be ideal to use for when i transplant the seedlings ?

thanks in advance for any replys sorry about poor grammer and punctation and waffling lol

Basil Sweet Genovese:-
You don't need to pot up all the plants individually. But they'd probably benefit from some separation, ie divide into clumps and pot the clumps separately. Do it once they've got to the stage where you think you can do it without damaging them too much.

Remember basil likes it hotter and wetter than most herbs. Try to keep it moist, and it'll do better indoors than outdoors.

Coriander & Parsley Curled:-

These are both in the carrot family and the carrot family in general tend to germinate slowly. Give it another 2-3 weeks.

Heh. In my experience, these kits tend to give you 'a packet' of seeds,
which will have way too many for a single pot. Next time, just sprinkle a
few and save the rest for next time, or find yourself some extra pots!
