My allotment neighbour won't be picking any this year. His plot backs onto a hedge and he tends the blackberry which produces good crops. He's also been leaving a patch of nettles for the butterflies. The committee have employed "a man" to go round with a strimmer to tidy all the paths and edges. He obviously got tired of grass and cut down the nettles and brambles! Perhaps he mistook the word "edges" for " hedges"! Pam in Bristol |
