I just don't find ridiculously hot chillies interesting, but that seems to be what they are mainly interested in.

I grew Alberto's Rocoto last year, which did very well. Big fleshy chillies, very tasty and hot rather than ridiculously hot. Rocotos are supposed to be difficult to germinate, but I didn't find it so, in fact as easy as any. And they ripened in good time despite last year's allegedly poor summer. (And I'll have to make a lot more chilli and apple jam this year, because my friends all love it.) And being a C pubescens you can save the seed without any precautions and it comes true, because it doesn't cross pollinate with other species. So I kept some seed, and have got lots this year. Do me nicely.

It'll depend on your browser. Bob didn't prefix his link with
"http://" but most browsers these days don't mind and insert that
themselves. For some reason yours seems not to do this so chances are
that where any links are posted without the http bit in the front,
you'll need to insert that in your browser's address bar before the
link will work.

anything. Perhaps you have some option set that downloads without
asking.

They are error messages due to a badly coded website that hasn't
implemented frames correctly.

The result will depend on which browser you use.
Some e.g. IE will ignore the errors and just render it the best they can,
which is fine assuming that the errors are harmless.

Others e.g. Opera will pop up a warning error message so you can evaluate
a possible threat.

But a browser shouldn't download or save any such message without an
option to ignore.

Which browser did you use?
There's nothing downloaded to my desktop using Google Chrome, Firefox
and IE8

We don't like the stupid hot ones either, they also take ages to fruit so
you do need a sunny greenhouse.
We grow Thai Dragon (hot) and Inferno (mild) out on our plot and always have
too many for us so the neighbours (the Asian ones) get bags of them. Trouble
is it is getting more difficult to get seeds of Thai Dragon despite it being
a very reliable cropper grown outdoors in the ground. T & M used to sell it
and the fruit always hung downwards, they stopped selling it and the last
lot we bought was from Nicky's Seeds, they were good and tasted the same but
the fruit all pointed upwards which is strange.

My browser is Safari running underMac OS X 10 v10.7.3. Just as a test I
have just run the web site again, and sure enough Safari downloaded the
files I mentioned. Opera and Firefox and Camino both shwed errors
wtihin the web page iteslf, but didn't download any files.

I'll take this to the Mac web newsgroup and see what the experts there
make of it.

That's not good. In this case the files are innocuous, but a virus writer
could exploit it to download something nasty.

That's what *should* happen. You can usually rely on Opera to do the right
