Default Grrrrr - more crop setbacks.

Just been out to check the gazebo and repeg bits of it in the high wind.
Noticed that 5 of the 8 Burpless Tasty Green outdoor cucumbers growing on in
pots have had their tops eaten off.
Not that they were doing much anyway in this cold wet weather but they were
at least germinated and growing slowly.

The shops will no doubt have ended their planned season of supplying
vegetable plants because normally everything would be out and growing well
by this time.

Not looking a good year for vegetables on the allotment (apart from onion
sets and garlic).

Grump.

Here (South Wales), still loads of choice of veg stuff on sale in the
garden centres though the DIY places and nurseries seem to have sold
out.

Just scoured the nurseries in the local area and found some courgetes and
posibly the last Burpless Tasty Green outdoor cucumbers.

The cucumbers need potting on but not today - they'd blow away!

That's my problem today. I've got loads and loads of things that need
to be done on the allotment, but the weather is Silly. Sweetcorn should
have gone out a month ago, and it's still sat being blown about in the
garden cos I'm too nervous to put it on the allotment. I should probably
bring it back into the greenhouse.

Plus the tomatoes I was going to plant out are going to get too knocked
about. No idea what the beans are going to be like, I'm scared to look.
