Default Date Palm in conservatory

I've got a 20 year old Canary Date Palm (Phoenix canariensis) growing
in a pot in the conservatory that is showing signs of some sort of
mould. So far spraying with a fungicide seems to be controlling but
not eradicating it. I mist the plant regularly, and I'm sure it is
not due to over-watering.
Any one with any experience of this sort of plant?
Thanks in advance for any reply.
