Need advice on "cloning" old cherry tree???
"Joe Jamies" wrote in message om... Can I take cuttings of the few small branches which have leaves? Could I buy a rootstock and try budding onto it, now in Spring? I don't see why you can't try it even if it's not the ideal time of year. Should I wait for the fruit to develop and save the cherry pits for sowing? I should qualify this post by saying I have no experience of propagating cherries, but I believe that cherry stones won't produce the same fruit as the parent plant. |
