Temperature surge forecast for Devon area tonight

The global warming people are jumping up and down with delight after
the announcement of an anticipated temperature surge in Devon this
evening.

The temperature variation, centred on a former vicarage in Landscove
is predicted to be 67 candle-power.

However the surge will only be temporary, ending with a few puffs of
wind.

For more information, please enquire of Sacha.

Cheers, Jake

Tsk - fancy giving away a lady's age!! ;-) But it's a thought isn't
it? I should get a large birthday cake (needs to be large for all those
candles) and carry it around the garden as a frost dispersal unit!

Somebody is getting hot under the collar in anticipation of the repeat
of Carol Klein's BBC TV programme tonight.
Life in a Cottage Garden with Carol Klein
Episode 1. Summer
8:30pm - 9pm
BBC2, BBC HD

I saw that billed as a 'new' series, so does that mean 'new' to BBC2
having been shown on BBC1 beforehand (if it was)? Because if so, that's
a major cheat!

You gave it away just before Christmas! I was only giving it back :)

Hope you have a good day!

Me too!

Now your blood is boiling.

Saves on the ch!

Worse still we repeatedly miss programmes because we think they are
just yet another repeat.

Well, when I read about the Carol Klein programme, I did think but how
can one have another year in the same garden, doing the same things.
And now it appears that one cannot! This is described on the bbc 2 site
as 'reversioned' - a new word which seems to mean 'same old same old'.

Happy Birthday from both of us.

Thank you very much!

Lol! Luckily I've never seen growing older as being any kind of a
'problem'. I used to know someone who worried about it and fought
every sign of it to the point of exhaustion. My view is that it's
better than the alternative!

Indeed. Birthdays are good for you. The more you have, the longer you
