Does anyone know if I can change a HT lead on a suffolk contactless coil as the lead is badly worn. If this is possible could you please explain how.

Sorry I cannot help but it may be worth you raising this on the
uk.d-i-y newsgroup. In the event that you do not have a news reader
you could try DIYbanter (not as good as the newsgroup but someone may
be able to help)

Old tv aerial wire is good for spark plug leads. Remove the outer brown cover and the outer copper braid. Or just cut them both back an inch each end.
