We have a window that is on the north side and would like to try a box
for flowers - any suggestions for ones that will do well in shade?

You don't say if it is to be seasonal or all year round.

Fushias and petunias do well for us in that situation. Violas for
Autumn-spring.

One wonders how many of those window boxes are in Texas or similar.

In the past I would have said Impatiens, but with all the mildew problems.
I don't know how the |New Guinea ones do in shade.

I have a north facing wall with several planters on it. New Guineas,
dwarf bedding dahlias (the type you get in 6-packs), all the foliage
trailers (some of which have miniscule flowers), French marigolds (but
not the larger types), lobelias, begonias (fibrous and tuberous) all
do well.

New Guineas, in particular, are happily shade-loving.

How about some of the hardy Geraniums (nb, not Pelargoniums!)

This was not from me - it is from someone who thinks it is smart to impersonate
others.

Notice the email address is different from mine: they are avoiding a complaint
to their provider.

Poor old "Jilly" or "Judith in England" - she seems to have forgotten which
persona she is using today.

(NB She does not use a proper email address but uses: - which
is often the give away)

Other than Judith Lea in France, they're heading for the kill file, so
I couldn't give a damn. Boring and boorish imo.

But it's a good question!

Not me either; but that message-id isn't from a me@privacy address.
Maybe it isn't a forgery.
