If you mean new potatoes for Christmas, I think now is the best time. Your
seed potatoes should already be sprouting growth. If not they will pop up
in spring next year.
If you mean maincrop, I think it is too late. You should get a few little
ones though, and sometimes they are lovely, depending on variety.
