It's a grey drizzly sort of day and really not at all inviting.
However, I'm determined to tackle some ropes of bindweed I found in a
wilder bit of the garden yesterday. People must wonder if we're
cultivating it!

You're lucky
Here by Swansea Bay it is raining hard and has been for the last hour or
more and is forecast to last for around 24 hours.so the cracks in the
ground should go.
A day for inside jobs and for having a rest.
You could always spray the bindweed flowers blue or red the same as they
treat heather.

Nice and sunny here on the Isle of Wight. Just been talking to our neighbour
and he is off the the Chale Show. Told him to pop into the Shanklin Theatre
stand. Nice and sunny so been doing a bit of painting in the garage.

Don't think I haven't considered it! It's such a sneaky weed, hiding
amongst others and then suddenly springing into its full glory! As to
the weather, we must now have or be sharing yours. It's pouring.

Strange, I've posted on and off about this site for around 5 years and
suddenly you have woken up to it.
You say it will soon be clear, just for a brief time.
You need to use it together with

You will see let belt of rain heading our way

Well, you ARE cultivating it if you have let it grow! Just a joke.

Plenty of potting on going on here - fortunate in having a large greenhouse
with a cool potting on zone for a change.

Surely you have to aid its growth to be said to be "growing it", rather
than to "have it growing"

Thanks for that url. I have used 'rain today' for
a long time and Meteox but they are both 'now'
forecasts.

You have another good point there.
Cultivation is surely promoting growth?
You can aid the weed growth by letting rain get to it, or watering it with
the other plant (which you planted), and maybe fed with your own
fertiliser! To me that means cultivation.
I mean this lighthearted.
