Some sort of little flow powered generator I assume...

For 9.99 it has to be a piece of junk that will malfunction after a very
short period of time.

Neodymium magnet on an impeller in the water flow and a coil around it
to generate the voltage. Temperature sensor to choose LED colour.

Amazing that they can make it so cheaply.
I expect it lasts for guarantee period plus one day.

What pointless rubbish.


You could use it to determine when the shower was running at the right
temperature, sometimes just waving a hand in it can give a false idea
of the temperature. Of course it depends on how well graduated the
colour changes are.
