Do they lay rusty-brown eggs? ;-)

My chickens have been helping me dig up more potatoes today. One stands
right on top of the ground I'm lifting with the fork! On more than one
occasion I've lifted the fork and the grumbling chicken has been left
standing on the prongs! They get in the way terrible but they are
amusing to have around and good company. I pick up the unearthed
potatoes while they pick up any insects and worms. That reminds me I
haven't searched for any eggs today yet, they keep finding new places to
lay them; they've become very good at hiding them...

Not seen any more of those huge caterpillars. Plenty of small green and
black ones this year on just about everything, found some even climbing
the front door! The chickens ignore them, probably don't taste nice.

I quite like the look of them. Has anyone actually tried them?
