Overwintered salad lettuce

I was tidying up the veg patch and discovered in the undergrowth and
fallen leaves some salad lettuces that have overwintered and are now
growing away. Are they still likely to be edible? They look fine!

Winter lettuce used to be planted in the late summer, early autumn and
would then over winter as small plants which would start to grow again
in the spring and give an early outdoor lettuce.
