If you have a large sum burning a hole in your pocket, this may be just
the thing for you.

I naively thought that 'mal ventre' meant 'bad wind', hence my comment
about artichokes, but Google translate gives it as 'sore belly', which
isn't quite the same, although I can imagine that you'd also get that
from a surfeit of artichokes!

I think vento would be the Italian for wind as in sea breezes or gales!
The Sardinian name goes into Italian as 'cattivo vento', bad wind. It
must be quite something there in a storm if it has that name in 3
languages!
