Just wondered what people do when they get to the top of the
sticks/poles?

I've sometimes pinched them out, sometime just left them, but
not really taken much notice of which - if either - is better.

I have nearly always left them - they then start hanging down - but continue
to flower and produce beans.

You could pinch them out before they get to the top. They will carry on
growing, but be more productive and the beans will be easier to crop.

You could pinch them out before they get to the top. They will carry on
growing, but be more productive and the beans will be easier to crop.

Do you mean that side shoots will develop?
