Lack of bees
Not wanting to prolong the chain that started with "What comes around....."
This spring I had a good show of apple blossom but only saw a couple of bumble bees. They must have worked their little butts off. http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/f...psd41d7da6.jpg http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/f...psa806314d.jpg It's the heaviest crop I've had on those trees in 15 years David @ a windy side of Swansea bay. |

Dunno about Spring, but these last few weeks (well, when it was sunny), we've seen more bumbles than I think we've ever seen. Not a honey bee in sight though. I don't know the difference but I have never seen so many bees as I have this summer and they are still buzzing around my nasturtiums. -- http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/shop/ |
