Default Sweetcorn thieves

Over the years we have often had sweetcorn eaten before we could get it ripe
enough to pick. We have always thought it was mice and rats doing the deed.
However in the last two days we have seen a Magpie strip what remains of the
neighbours sweetcorn, it sits on the cobs pecking away, stripping back the
covering as required and eating the corn.
