Several red flower buds on just one of the dozen branches of the
Erythrina c-g. No other flower buds visible on it.

But will there be any open flowers before a frost kills them?

Well, have the flowers opened, or been blown off! ;~)

Neither - the buds are still less than 10mm long! But if it remains warm
this week, maybe they will eventually open.
