4 cactus in a pot - oddity
 

When I was younger I kept cactus and know how I treated them and kept them
healthy.
I was given a terracotta pot with four cactus on it. They are real cacti,
but the gravel in the pot appears to be glued together. I really don't know
what to do with this beyond trying to get them out and pot them up in a
conventional manner.
Has anyone come across this oddity and if so what did you do?

I am guessing here, but because the cactus did not come where you live,
but was shipped there, the glued pebbles are to ensure the pot and cactus
did not separate during shipping.

That being said, sit back and wait. Eventually the pressure exerted by
the cactus growing should loosen something.

Not in the final stage, but it may have been bought from a motorway
services - in which case ...... :-)
