In Flower on New Years Day
 
Hello All

I did a sweep of my garden in East Anglia yesterday for flower. The result
was the following list.

Flowering properly :-
Jasminum nudiflorum
Viburnum x bodnantense
Chimonanthus praecox
Lonicera fragrantisima
Chanomeles x suberba
Mahonia
Heather
Rosemary
An ornamental plum/cherry
Rockery campanula (2 different)
Primrose
Hebe (2 Different)
Leucojum aestivum
Mauve Perennial Wallflower

Isolated flowers
Begonia semperflorens
Gazania
Strawberry
Loganberry
Muscari
Calendula
Chrysanthemum
Nerine
Rose
Violet
Abelia grandiflorum
Gailardia
Oesteospermum
Berberis darwinii

Note no daffodils or snowdrops !

In my somewhat exposed London garden, the following are in flower. Some
are meant to be in flower, some are early, some forgot to stop.

Agapanthus 'Charlotte': 1 head with 2 blue flowers open
Antirrhinum seedling: 2 crimson flowers
Berberis darwinii: 1 cluster orange flwrs, many orange buds
Brunnera seedling: few blue flowers
Coreopsis cv.: 1 yellow flower w/mahogany centre
Cyclamen coum rubra: 5 dark magenta flowers
Cyclamen hederifolia: 2 pink flowers
Cyclamen persica type: 5 flwrs mxd pinks,3frilly magenta flwrs
Eranthus hyemalis: all in forward yellow buds, many in full flower
Erigeron glauca cv: 3 good mauve flowers
Erigeron karvinskianus: many scattered white flowers (no pink/red)
Erysimum 'Bowles Mauve':many small clusters mauve flowers
Exochorda 'The Bride': scattered white flowers and few white buds
Hebes, mxd.: several purple flwrs, few light violet flwrs
Helleborus argutifolius: scattered greenish flowers, many buds
Helleborus hybrida: many white speckled flowers, few pink/purple
Hesperanthus cocc.: several pink flowers, many buds
Heuchera, mxd: 2 stems white flowers and pink buds
Ilex mxd.: scattered white flowers
Jasmine poly. very many pink buds(indoor plant outside)
Mahonia japonica: 9 'wheels' of lemon flower and bud
Narcissus 'Falconet': 14 scented flowers, gorgeous scent!
Primula decorative: cluster purple flwrs, few peach/yellow flwrs
Ranunculus fic. few in flower, some 'over', many coloured buds
Rosmarinus'Severn Seas':many deep blue flowers
Salvia 'Royal Bumble': 1 glorious scarlet flower
Scabious, dwarf type: 2 good flowers
Sidalcea cv: scattered white blooms
Verbena bonariensis: scattered mauve flowers
