Garlic bulbs above ground
We have lots of garlic planted and they are doing well, they're in the
ground about 6/7 weeks and are about 6"tall with four leaves(?) however, the bulbs/cloces we planted are all coming above ground. Is this normal? Should I put some soil/compost/grass cuttings around them or leave them as they are? Thanks in advance -- Shan http://ukdiscus.com/main.htm |

It makes a larger bulb. |

I bury mine two or three inches deep but that is partly to prevent them from being dug up as soon as they've been planted (still doesn't always work). -- Stuart Baldwin news\at/boxatrix\dot/co\dot/uk |

I did plant them down about two/three inches and put nets over them to stop them being dug up, but they still managed to make their own way up. I'll try that see what happens and let you know when the time comes. Thanks again :) -- Shan (Ireland) http://ukdiscus.com/main.htm |
