I noticed lots of these under my potted plants, I've never seen them before, are they harmful to my plants

Thanks Chris, they don't have legs, I know the ones you mean. These wriggle to the right and left when touched. I will try to get a better photo

I see three things, none of which are centered in the image. One could
be a bit of wool, a worm, a centipede or a millipede. Another could be a
leatherjacket or vine weevil larva, which is not good news. The third is
so small it could be anything. I need a _much_ better 'photo.

From the twin pairs of legs, I'd say millipede rather than centipede

That's a millipede.

They are millipedes and mainly consume dead vegetation rather than live
plants but they are vegetarian. The bigger faster orange ones centipedes
are carnivorous and are actually beneficial since they eat pest insects.

Apart from new seedlings they are not a threat to established plants and
mainly tidy things up by consuming dead leaves.

Well that's a relief and I've also learned something new. Thank you all for replying. Great people here.

These are millapedes, probably the ones from Portugal, they do eat plant
material but generally its dead stuff, they don't do a lot of damage and
its not worth trying to get rid of them
