Update on the Viburnum leaf beetle attack.
Thanks for all your replies.
I cut the Viburnum right back hard and destroyed all the eaten leaves. I've given it a few feeds of seaweed fertiliser. They are young leaves sprouting already. I check it each day and pick off any aphids. There are some mealy bugs on the branches so I'm squashing them, well the ones I can reach. I hope to catch the beetle in it's tracks if it comes back later in the year. I must say that it smells a lot sweeter out there now.:-) -- I'm a sew and sow! |
