Compost on lawn ?

Recently I re-seeded a few patches on my lawn. i covered the seeds with a
light sprinkling of B+Q multi purpose compost. the seeds germinated great,
and the grass around the immediate area is very green and lush, and has
remained so. Would it be a problem to lightly cover the whole lawn with this
compost?

Compost on lawn ?

'Stewart',

Best to spike (aerate) the lawn and treat it with a gritty compost which
you can brush into the holes with a besom. That type of treatment is a
blessing to any lawn.

Using compost on its own will tend to clog up the lawn and is not
recommended.

Regards,
Emrys Davies

No problem at all AFAICS, better still if you add a small quantity of
sharp sand to the compost.

What is the best way to 'Feed and weed' a lawn is it a liquid fertilizer or
a granulated feed is one better for the lawn than the other?
