What no daffodil flowers

I have a number of daffodil planted beneath a North facing hedge. They
have always done well until this year. There are no flowers on them
whatsoever. this is the first year in many (at least 5) that they have
failed. Any suggestions as to why That may be please? there flowers else
where in my garden. I usually use these for cutting.

If they have been there a long time then they may well have become too
crowded and end up going blind. You need to dig them up and replant with
more space between the bulbs.

Thank you both for your suggestions, I will follow them all to the best
of my ability.

The usual cause of blind daffodils is cutting back the foliage too
soon after flowering the previous year, but as you've had them there
for a while, you presumably know how to deal with them in that
respect. Another cause is drought after flowering, which doesn't allow
the bulbs to plump up after they've flowered. A bit of feed after
flowering also helps. Is the soil they're in becoming impoverished?

Last year mine were crucified by BT whilst they were in flower and a lot
of them are blind this year because their growth was badly interrupted.
They dug a trench right along the roadside through all my daffodils :(

Less than half of them have flowered this year.

The new cable conduit they put in doesn't seem to have improved
anybody's poxy broadband speed or made it more reliable.
