Beech hedge problem
 

I have 2 beech hedges on the North side of my garden, about 2 meters
tall. Both have browned ate the top. I suspect it may be the frost (we
have had several light one in the past week). Might this be the problem?
If so I have hope that they will recover. Any advice appreciated.

The young leaves of many plants are subject to browning from frost,
salt or drying winds and more. Almost all deciduous woody plants
recover well from such damage, and beech is one of those.

Probably. Mine are only just coming into leaf. It will almost certainly
very quickly grow out once they come properly into leaf.

There was a fairly sharp overnight frost two days ago here but the sun
had been up long enough to hide all the evidence by 7am. I usually see a
bit of black frost damage on my new privet growth when this happens.
