Default Strawberry woes

For the first time we are seeing masses of tiny thread like worms
attacking our Strawberries, I suspect these to be the larvae of Spotted
wing Drosophilla a sort of fruit fly but having never come across it
before not sure whether its a new thing since we last grew strawberries
and is there anything you can do about it?
