Bugs on vines

Can anyone help? I found these bugs on my outdoor vine. I don't know what they are or whther they are the same thing, although they look a little different.

Many thanks

The one on the left is a ladybird lavae and is therefore a good thing,
the right hand ones look like Ladybird Pupae the next stage, so you will
soon have lots of new ladybirds!

Many thanks to you both. A great relief.

A biologist friend has suggested that they are harlequin ladybirds, so I am now a bit unsure how I should view them.

I think your friend is right. However it looks as though they aren't the
threat we thought they were - and they are still good for eating greenfly.

If your friend is a professional entomologist they'll know better than me.
