Anyone heard of Water Blobs???

My Mum told me yesterday that she'd seen water blobs for the first time in
ages. I had no idea what she was talking about but further conversation
revealed they are big buttercup like wild flowers which grow on damp ground.
From this I assume she means marsh marigolds???

Has anyone else heard of water blobs?

Thankyou :o)
