Default Slightly O/T Advice on Horwell 84" triple mower

Thought I'd ask in this group as there seem to be some knowledgable
people here on mowers. Just been offered one of the above machines at
a very reasonable price. It's got new cylinders and sole plates
fitted, is fully serviced and ready to go.
My problem is that I can't find out much about them via the web or
anywhere else. It's got a 12 HP Kohler single engine which I'm OK
with, but it's the availabillity of spares (belts, chains etc.) which
causes concern. Anyone know anything about these machines?
Thanks for reading.

You could ask your local mower repair/service dealer,
they will soon say if it's a machine they wont handle.

Thanks for the r3eply. I've spoken to the usual sources, who are
saying even though it's unusual, go for it (priced very right) The
actual mower is a Horwool (not Horwell as in header) and was
originally a National Turfmaster 84. (inch cut) Anyone any the wiser?

Sounds like the machine sold or used to be sold as Allen National. I've never seen or used one but if your main concern
is stuff like chains and belts don't worry too much, these are standard industrial parts not specific to mowers so you
will find suppliers in yellow pages under something like 'power transmission' Just get spare belts while the old ones
are in an identifiable condition.

Thanks for the reply Rod. It's a bit similar to the Allen, as in
basic, though a LOT bigger. I've given it a lot of thought and have
eventually decided upon an Allen National 68. Parts readily available
and simplicity in itself to work with. Nothing nasty to go wrong
(hopefully g)
