Late pruning
Did your Fuchsia magellanica die right down? Mine becomes just dead
twigs over winter and then sprouts from ground level again in late spring. I remove the dead twigs about now. Perhaps yours is a bit more sheltered though in which case I don't know - but certainly Fuchsias do their growing late so I would have thought it would still be OK. Janet G |

I would guess in that case that if you prune it now, you would either lose or delay flowering considerably. I suppose it depends on how much in the way it is as to whether it's worth losing the flower-power. Janet G |
