beech cuttings possible?

Is there any possibility of growing beech from cuttings? There's one
beech growing in our garden's hedge which has much more corrugated
leaves than the rest. It'd be good to have an offshoot for our new
garden. TIA

It is possible. I've not done it myself, but the beech hedge at one of our
boundaries is made entirely from cuttings planted by the previous owner of
the property. From what I can gather, he just stuck a load of cuttings into
the ground and some rooted.
I'd suggest that you keep them well watered and shaded from this blistering
sunshine for a few months until roots develop.
